A Day at the Ball Park
My father in law does a lot of business with the Larry H. Miller group so about once a summer he tries to get on Spring Mobile Ball Park and take some batting practice. This year he took a new client and their families and he let us tag along. It was my first time to be able to go. It's a beautiful field! We walked out on the field and Maddux immediately climbed out of my arms, sat in the grass, felt it with his fingers, picked a few pieces, smelled them and then rubbed them between his fingers and thumb. It was so funny to watch! He loved being out on the field and watching everyone hit the ball. It was a WAY fun day. Kevin almost hit one out. He hit the top of the wall. Bummer. But he hit really well. It was fun to watch. Wood bats just sound so much cooler than metal ones. Thank Jerry for letting us tag along. :)

Our FUN Summer
It's been while since I logged into our blog, and man do things look different. I didn't really know what I was doing before- so let see if I can pick up the new look any faster. :)
I decided I'll post some of the pictures we've taken this summer. We got new phones. (YEAH) So all my pictures are from August till now. I love spending time with my family! Our little boy is the best! He keeps us laughing and smiling! Maybe I'll try to post something we've done together each week... that way I don't post all my pictures now and get in trouble for not updating my blog for a year. :)
To Start us off... we have Bear Lake!

Maddux loved playing in the sand. He had sand EVERYWHERE.
When I washed his jeans the pockets were full of sand.
When I washed his jeans the pockets were full of sand.
Maddux even started learning how to do summer salts while we were up there.
Is that how you spell that?? Oh well.
The only thing Maddux likes better than the sand is the water.
He went on a wave runner for the first time. I think he would have liked it better if it wasn't windy. The wind blew water in their faces. But other then that he loved the ride.
And we played on the beach a lot. (No sunburns! YEAH! That kid was covered in sun screen!)
And Yes, he did try to eat the sand.
He didn't like it very much, thank goodness, so it wasn't to much of a fight.
He really loves to splash!
It was a busy day at the cabin. There were lots of cousins up for the day. So much fun!
Yes I was there too. It looks like I was behind the camera all the time. So, I don't have pictures of me. Sorry. It was a way fun trip though. Not really any family drama. I had a blast this year with Maddux. He was so fun to play with. He says "Boat" now. So cute!! More updates on our lives to come. And I'll try to get in some pictures. :)

Am I 12 years old again??
Today I promised my friend I would update my blog... and more importantly to continue to update the blog. Hmmm, I hope I can keep that commitment. You can see in all the time I've had this- how often I've said I would do better then didn't. This time I think I might do better I have not only more time, well- at least I'm a stay at home mom now- not working full time (so not really "more" time) but I have more motivation. What is that motivation... my best friend.
Today I feel like a little kid again moving away from my friends- feeling like I have to start all over- wondering if they will ever be replaced... or if I will be replaced. Only this time I'm not the one moving. My best friend (and her family) are moving out of state. :( I'm not the person who has friends from high school they stay in touch with, or that has lots of friends. I guess I'm pretty private and with moving A LOT growing up I didn't spend my whole childhood with the same friends, so to me that makes this friendship even more special. We have been friends for 7 1/2 years. In that time we've been though quit a bit together. 7 moves around the state, lots of baseball games, random crafts, concerts and practices, and watched more sporting events together than I'm sure she ever wanted to see. We've been through all those guys she dated before she found "the one". (and we sure are happy they found each other!) She trusted me and my mom to make her wedding dress, and somehow we ended up pregnant at the same time, having babies that are 3 days apart. That's a lot right? But looking back at what I just wrote, that doesn't cover even half the memories- the tears shed, out of sorrow and happiness. She was there for me when I needed a shoulder to cry on. She was there so I wasn't alone while Kevin traveled playing baseball. She was there to talk to, and she didn't judge. She loved me for who I am, and it was so easy to be her friend.
Something weird in life is that you never know if you mean as much to someone else as they mean to you. Well, she means a lot to me. She's like a little sister, but different. Growing up is great and hard all at the same time. I love where my life is right now, but it also means that school gets finished and jobs take people away.
So, now what?
Thank you Kevin for the hugs and words of reason. (I am aware I'm not 12 yrs. old anymore. :) )
And here are the things that help me not cry:
We have the internet now, facebook, instagram, and yes blogs
Free Mobile to Mobile calling
Face time
And my Mom works for Delta, so I can fly for cheep :)
Mallory you are the best. You are a friend like I've never had before. To me you are irreplaceable. I really will try to update this blog on top of keep in touch other ways. I can't wait to see you! Maybe I can squeak in a visit before Chicago. Good luck on your new life adventure. I'm sure it will be wonderful and exciting. We love you guys!

So Much Fun!
He is still a BOY! Woo Hoo! We are SO excited. He is over 7 days ahead in development in every area. He's healthy and everything looks perfect. We didn't change my due date- but the doctor said we'll keep an eye on everything and they won't let me go much past my due date of April 23rd if he decides to take to long to join us. I feel him move everyday and Kevin's been able to feel him for weeks as well. I LOVE it! I'm so glad it doesn't make me think of Aliens every time he moves. I was a bit worried about that. ha ha. There have been new symptoms I don't love so much. My ankles like to swell, and it makes them hurt sometimes. They've gotten pretty big, not my favorite. I was SO excited last night when (after reclining for hours and drinking tons of water) I looked down and I could see my ankles bones again. It's funny the things we celebrate! I will take swelling over throwing up any day! Life is GREAT!
Thank you for the information. Feel free to share more if you think of anything else. :)

So many questions...
For those of you who don't know.... we are gonna have a BABY! Life is crazy and so fun as we try to plan for the future. We are 18 weeks right now (4 1/2 month for those who don't speak pregnant language). So, now the questions start. Well, I've gotten some answered along the way. The big one on my mind tonight, What do I need? I try to look at baby stuff on line and there is just to much stuff. How do you know what to get and what not to get? We have our official ultrasound next week- which will hopefully confirm we are having a boy. Does that help narrow down what we need? I would love some input from you mom's out there. What are the essentials? What are your must haves? I think I will stop there for tonight. I don't want to put to many questions in one post. Thanks for you help. I'll post pictures someday- when I take some. :) I don't even have any of my belly yet. Oppps.

Once upon a time...
...Kevin started this blog for us with the help of his friend Mark,(thank you Mark) and ever since I have failed to keep up with posting what happens in our wonderful lives. There were promises not met, and pictures that never got posted. Today I will not make any new promises. Kevin gave me a wonderful camera for Christmas and I'm so excited to be able to take pictures again. Some may even make it on here. Our Facebook accounts stay much more up to date, so if you'd like to follow them send us a request. But here is a little update on our lives. Kevin is in his last year of his undergraduate degree. YEAH! He's still working in research as well up at the U of U. And any chance we get we try to find some way to play. Snowboarding is in season right now. Kevin is very patient teaching me and I love watching him go through the park. So, here
are some pictures of our events since Christmas. We are SO blessed and have the best families! I hope everyone has a great new year!!
New Years Eve @ Mel and Ryan's
We spent new years eve with family. We played some Just Dance, Basketball, and prepped Kevin's snowboard. (and I fell asleep) Kevin woke me up at 11:45pm so I could be awake for the count down. We love spending time with our nieces and nephews, they are the best!
Happy New Year Everyone!!

Trip to the Zoo
Flashback to last fall:
We wanted to take Sailor, Jaxon, and Annabella to the Zoo, but when it came down to going only Annabella could come. We had a great time checking out all the animals and playing in the park they have inside the zoo.

We got to see the baby elephant playing with it's mom. It's so cute!
Annabella just had to climb on the Rhino.
The bears are one of my favorites! Don't you just want to pet them.
The Tigers were so beautiful. Daddy here is scratching his back. Annabella was afraid of them. Kevin had to hold her.
After seeing the real thing, Annabella wanted Kevin to pose with here on statue. There were a bit less scary.
We also got to see another baby. I'm told this little guy didn't survive the year. So sad. Look how cute Mom and baby are!
All kinds of birds wonder the park, Annabella wanted to get SO close, but only if Kevin would hold her. She's so funny. She really is "Kevin's little buddy".
We only got a glimpse of the gorilla... not the best angle.
but they did have a statue, I love this picture.
After running around for hours we took a train ride around the zoo and it even took us into some of the habitats.
On the train ride we saw a park- Annabella climbed on everything and loved it!
She's so independent, we had to run around after her and try to keep up.
She really loved the slide, she did this over and over! Look at that happy smile!
After a full day of playing and running around we headed home and slept.
